Cardiovascular Disease in Patients with Diabetes: a Comparison of Professional Society Guidelines

In this review, we compare major points in the 2021 American Diabetes Association and the 2020 American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists/American College of Endocrinology guidelines, in particular, the assessment and management of cardiovascular risk in patients with diabetes with a focus on dyslipidemia, blood pressure, and pharmacotherapy in diabetes.
