Epidemiological analysis of relevant cases of Sparganosis mansoni infection in Liaoning province

Objective To make epidemiological analysis of relevant cases of Sparganosis ansoni infection over the years in Liaoning province.Method 12 cases of Sparganosis mansoni infection patients were analyzed in regard to age,gender,occupation,location and infective route.Result In this 12 cases of Sparganosis mansoni infection patients,there were 7 women(58.33%),with the age over 30.Urban residents and farmers were the main infected(66.67%),and the common sites involved in subcutaneous parts(66.67%,including breast and belly) and eyes(33.33%).The main infective route included drinking raw water and swimming.10 of the patients live in Dandong and Zhuanghe.Conclusion The natural environment of Dandong and Zhuanghe became breeding grounds for sparganum mansoni.Sparganosis mansoni infection occured frequently in elderly women with lower resistance to disease and drinking raw water.
