Survey of clinical nurses' needs for first-aid knowledge

Objective To explore the clinical nurses' needs for first-aid knowledge learning,so as to provide evidence for clinical nurses training.Methods Stratified sampling was used and 130 clinical nurses were investigated with the self-designed questionnaire.Results Among 130 nurses,48.5% of nurses chose the learning way of exercise training,46.9% of nurses chose the way of lectures,35.4% chose the way of visit training; the top three desired frequency of the learning was that 35.4% of nusres desired training once a quarter,25.4% desired training once a month,22.3% desired training six months.The ratio of needs,badly in need and urgent need ( score ≥ 2) among training term was more than 50%,which confirmed the training programs were generally recognized,among which need of rescue treatment for acute myocardial infarction was the highest proportion of 92.3%,brain function monitoring 64.6%.Nurses with different working years had different training needs for first aid (P < 0.05).Conclusions It is important to launch the first-aid knowledge training for clinical nurses though nurses layering,key training,new way of training and so on.
