3P-727 : The catalytic activation of metallic monolith for Selective Catalytic Reduction of NO x

2020
The metallic substrates for catalyst support have more advantages than ceramic based. There are several ways for catalytic activation of metallic substrates such as dip-coating, spray-coating, electrophoretic deposition and chemical vapor deposition. Among them, dip-coating techniques are the most versatile and easiest ones for coatings by depositing an aqueous precursor onto a substrate that is converted to the desired coating layer by drying and calcination. In this study, the preparation of coated metallic monolith catalyst was investigated to apply NH3-SCR system. The quality of the coating layers was evaluated by adhesion, thickness, loading amount, superficial morphology (e.g. layer uniformity, presence of crack, pore volume) and de-NOx performance.
