Farkli Besi Program ve Sürelerindeki Saf Morkaraman ve Kivircik X Morkaraman Fi Kuzularin Besi Performansi, Kesim ve Karkas Özellikleri: I- Vücut Ölçüleri*

OZET Bu arastirmada kaliteli kesim kuzusu uretimi amaci ile elde edilen Kivircik x Morkaraman (Fi) melezi ve saf Morkaraman kuzularinin cesitli vucut olculeri incelenmistir. Arastirmada kuzulara iki farkli besi suresi (60-75 gun) uygulanmistir. Her iki besi suresinde hem kontrol hem de deneme grubu olusturulmustur. Kontrol grubundaki kuzular sadece mer'ada beslenmis, deneme grubundaki kuzulara mer'aya ilaveten kesif yem verilmistir. Saf ve Fi melezi kuzularin 26 farkli vucut bolgesinin olculeri alinmistir. Her bir grupta 6' sar bas kuzu (n = 24) kullanilmistir. Boyun uzunlugu I. Besi grubunda (60. gun) melez (Fi) kuzulari lehine (p<0.01) II. Besi grubunda (75. gun) ise Morkaraman kuzulari lehine (p<0.05) gerceklesmistir. On incik cevresi ve sagri genisligi I. Besi Grubu (60. gun) lehine (p<0.01); bas uzunlugu, cidago, sirt, sagri ve kuyruk sokumu yuksekligi ile beden on ve orta kisim uzunlugu ise II. Besi grubu (75. gun) lehine (p<0.001) farklilik gostermistir. Sonuc olarak; mer'a + yem grubundaki saf ve melez genotipler arasinda vucut olculeri bakimindan bir farklilik olmadigi halde, mer'a grubundaki melez genotip, vucudun sirt ve art uzunluklari bakimindan saf genotipe ustunluk saglamistir. Degerli etlerin bulundugu vucudun sirt ve art kisimlarinin melez genotipte daha fazla gelismis olmasi nedeni ile degerli et miktarinin artirilmasi amaciyla bolgede Kivircik genotipinden yararlanilabilecegi kanaatine varilmistir. SUMMARY In this study F1 crossbred lambs of Kivircik & Morkaraman that were inseminated to upgrade the quality slaughter lamb production and purebred lambs of Morkaraman were evaluated for the variety of body measurements. Lams were treated with two different feeding timetables of 65 and 75 days. Control groups were also assigned for both study groups. Each group was assigned with 6 animals and a total of 24 lambs were used in this study. Animals in control group were only fed with pasture while animals in study group were fed both pasture and grain. Body measurements were performed in 26 different parts of animals. Length of neck were measured significantly (p< 0.01) more in crossbreed compared to purebred lambs fed 60 days. On the other hand, measurement of neck was significantly (p<0.05) longer in purebred compared to crossbred lambs fed 75 days. Measurements of around the front shin and rump width were significantly (p<0.01) more in lambs fed 60 days compared to lambs fed 75 days. However, head length and height of withers, back, rump, and tail head were significantly (p<0.001) more in lambs fed 75 days compared to lambs fed 60 days. In conclusion, body measurements were determined insignificantly different between genotypes of purebred and crossbred of lambs fed with both pasture and grain while length of lumbar and art parts of body were measured significantly longer in crossbred genotype compared to purebred lambs fed only pasture. Lumbar and art parts of body producing very quality of meat develop very well in crossbred. Therefore, it was concluded that it could be the beneficial to use Kivircik genotype to increase the production of quality meat.
