2005
  The City of Oakley welcomes new staff who recently joined the city team in order to expand services to residents and customers. Helping visitors with questions about planning, zoning and permits is Jeff Garrigues, Associate Planner. He will be able to provide answers in a timely manner and help move projects forward in the process. Cynthia Jenkins, Accounting Technician, has joined the Finance Department to improve the process for paying the vendors who conduct business with the City. She also aids local businesses with their business license and permits. The City of Oakley now has its first Assistant City Manager, Karen Majors, who will be responsible for developing the Human Resources Department and expanding the City’s efforts in economic development. These new employees bring added value to services and all residents are encouraged to stop by the Civic Center and say hello.
