The author considers how modern historians, philosophers, sociologists, lawyers define the notions gender, equality, equal rights, discusses the formalization of the legal impletion of the notion gender equal rights, analyzes the correlation between the notions of gender equality and gender equal rights, comes to the conclusions about the social-psychological nature of the notion gender equality expressed through the traditions and mass consciousness of society as well as the primacy of gender equality in relation to gender equal rights, and determines the exceptional legal nature of gender equal rights.
