Results of Profiling from 6, 000 meters using APEX-Deep Floats

This paper describes an autonomous profiling float that is capable of hosting various sensors and taking measurements from a depth of 6000 meters to the surface. The ballasting mechanism and float operating modes are described, as well as some example results from measuring temperature, salinity and oxygen from 6000 meters.
