ESTIMACIÓN DE LA HUMEDAD DE LA VEGETACIÓN USANDO IMÁGENES DE SATÉLITE E ÍNDICES METEOROLÓGICOS DE PELIGRO DE INCENDIOS

Field foliage moisture conteni measurements were correlated with meteorological fire danger indicas, satelIHe images (NOAA-AVHRR and Landsat-TM) and field radiometry. It is observed that the DC (Drought Code), a meteorological s(/d- index ofthe Canadian system, as well as the indices basad on the middie infrared and surface temperatura (NDII^, NDII^ and NDVI/TS), the Oiree ofwhich are derived from satellite data, allow us to obtain a good forecast of the moisture content of some Mednerranean species.
