Device and method for beam combination of laser devices

The invention discloses a device and method for beam combination of laser devices. The method and device are used for outputting combined beams of the laser devices. The device comprises the laser devices, a laser beam shaping device, a diffraction grating and an output coupler. Each laser device is provided with a gain zone and a rear cavity face. Each gain zone provides gains for generation of lasers and a resonant cavity is formed by each rear cavity face and the output coupler; the laser beam shaping device is used for receiving the lasers emitted by the laser devices and the lasers are emitted to the same position of the diffraction grating at different angles; the diffraction grating is used for conducting chromatic dispersion on the lasers emitted to the diffraction grating, combining the lasers to one beam and outputting the combined beam to the output coupler; the output coupler receives the lasers emitted by the diffraction grating, a part of the emitted lasers are reflected and made to return along an original path, a resonant cavity is formed by the output coupler and the rear cavity face of each laser device, and therefore a pattern selected by the diffraction grating is locked; meanwhile, the output coupler is further used for coupling output. According to the device and method for beam combination of the laser devices, the output power and the brightness of the laser devices can be increased by ten times and even a hundred times.
