Nonwoven fibrous hydraulically entangled non-elastic coform material and its formation

1989
PURPOSE: To obtain nonwoven fibrous self-supporting non-elastic materials having high web strength and high durability, accurate in its formation and low in fiber waste amount, which consist of non-elastic meltblown fibers and fibrous materials and contain a mixture of fibers entangled by a fluid. CONSTITUTION: (A) Non-elastic meltblown fibers being made of preferably polypropylene, polyethylene, polybutylene terephthalate and/or polyethylene terephthalate and (B) fibrous materials being preferably pulp fibers, staple fibers, meltblown fibers and/or continuous filaments are mixed by a high pressure jet having liquid column-shaped streams to form the objective self-supporting non-elastic materials which contain the mixture of fibers entangled by the fluid.
