The invention discloses a method for the multichannel echo cancellation of an LTE (Long Term Evolution) relay system, and relates to service and facilities applicable to wireless communication networks. The method comprises steps as follows: an antenna-double-transmitting single-receiving two-channel-echo cancellation model is adopted; two-channel signals, which are preprocessed at a transmitting terminal of the LTE relay system, are received by a receiving antenna through an echo channel; two-channel echo signals are estimated by a self-adapting filter at a receiving terminal; subtraction is carried out on the received composite signals and the estimated signals; and then, the effect of echo cancellation is achieved. The method disclosed by the invention is applied to wireless communication, the problem of how to effectively eliminate multichannel echo disturbance at the receiving terminal is solved, the normal work of the whole relay system is then guaranteed, the relay system can then be effectively applied to the mobile communication field of a next generation, and a technical reserve for the mobile communication of a new generation is achieved according to the protocol standards of LTE and LTE-A (Long Term Evolution-Advanced).
