Early surgical treatment of congenital club feet

: Subtalar release was carried out in 70 feet of 60 children in the first 3 months of their life. Patients with rigid congenital club feet not responding to conservative treatment were selected. The average age of patient at the operation was 64 days. Using criteria by Main 24.3% results were rated as excellent, 61.4% as good that is feet with correct shape and function. The importance of age at the operation and the range of surgical procedure were discussed.
