Fibromatosis extraabdominal agresiva: descripción de un caso y revisión de la literatura
2009
Desmoid tumour is a rare benign neoplasm of soft tissues, with local aggressivity and without metastatic
possibility. There are different types depending on its location, the one we are going to review being the extraabdominal
one or aggressive extra-abdominal fibromatosis, the one we are going to review, more frequent in scapular
and pelvic waists. We report a case of a 35 years old man with a tumour in his left hip, with clinical findings of
snapping hip. A review of the existing literature on this pathology is also carried out, with special emphasis on the
biological characteristics of the tumour, as well as its histology, natural history and treatment.
