Modelling of Power System Load for Expansion Planning and Operations Scheduling

1979
Abstract The modelling of power system loads is studied for the generation and transmission expansion problems and the operations scheduling problems such as long term regulation of hydro, maintenance scheduling and unit commitment. A systematic method for the development of load models for use in such problems is proposed. The types of models that should be employed for the different types of studies are developed for a practical system by application of the method to real data.
