An Update on the North Derbyshire Pressure Sore Prevalence Surveys

In October 1993 (JTV,1993; 4(3): 114-122), a report on two surveys carried out in 1991 and 1992 was published. This work surveyed the prevalence of pressure sores in hospitals, in community nurse case loads and for 1992 in nursing homes as well. Since then a further four surveys have taken place, with another one currently in progress. This update aims to cover the significant change those surveys have shown.
