Decision Models for a Car Rental Company with Two Types of Vehicles and Demand Substitution

In this paper, we consider a car rental company who operates in two cities with two types of demand served by low quality and high quality vehicles. Two types of demand substitution, namely, supply side substitution and customer side substitution are modeled to investigate the optimal fleet size and transfer policy, accordingly.
