HIV-Impfstoffe : Wie weit ist die Entwicklung?

2007
Recent results from immunological research on HIV could lead to the development of effective vaccines. For example, important information is provided by studies on long-term-nonprogressors or patients in whom the HIV infection remains under control for many years without antiretroviral therapy. Both the cellular and the humoral immune responses offer possible points of attack for new HIV vaccines. In addition, the inherited immune system, which includes for example, cellular restriction factors, toll-like-receptors and natural killer cells, could also be a potential target for new vaccines.
