The 2016 diastolic function guidelines emphasize elevated left atrial and pulmonary pressures. Cirrhosis causes a chronic hyperdynamic state and therefore may cause diastolic dysfunction (DD) without elevated left atrial pressures. We hypothesize 2016 guidelines will identify fewer patients with DD
