Hydrops fetalis is described as a state of excessive fluid accumulation into both the extravascular compartments and the body cavities, manifesting as anasarca and ascites, pleural or pericardial effusions. Currently, up to 90% of cases are caused by a heterologous group of unrelated disorders, categorized together as nonimmune hydrops fetalis
