The invention provides a sound absorption wall and a construction method thereof. Particularly, the construction method includes the following steps that 1, the surfaces of porous ceramic sound absorption bricks are physically ground; 2, the porous ceramic sound absorption bricks and adhesive slurry are used for laying, a base layer is obtained, and the adhesive slurry is formed by mixing mortar, lime, additives and water; 3, sound absorption slurry with the thickness of 12 mm to 18 mm is plastered, a sound absorption layer is obtained, and the sound absorption slurry is formed by mixing mortar, floating beads, rubber powder, additives and water; 4, mortar with the thickness of 4 mm to 6 mm is plastered, and a transition layer is obtained; 5, face bricks are attached, and a decoration layer is obtained, wherein the additives are regenerated EPS or fibers or cellulose ether, and the grain diameter of fine sand ranges from 0.25 mm to 0.5 mm. The sound absorption wall has good buffering and absorption effects on sound waves, high fire-resistant and high-temperature-resistant performance and high mechanical strength. The absorption rate of the sound absorption wall for noise at the frequency of 50 Hz to 10,000 Hz exceeds 60%.
