Second Panel Discussion Comparison of Computerized Tomography with other Neuroradiological Examination Methods
1978
The topic is comparison of computerized tomography with other neuroradiological examination methods. I think it would be good if we had in our minds their value to the patient rather than to the radiologist. Also, many people during this week have expressed concern about the future of neuroradiology, and I gather that this concern is mainly amongst young people, as to whether they should enter the discipline and what it holds for them. It seems that there are two schools of thought: some feel that it may not be a good future for them and others feel it might be a very good future. So, we’ll carry on with that additional topic in the latter part of the programme. There is one alteration in the membership of the panel. I am sorry to say that Professor Greitz is ill in bed and Dr. Cronqvist has very kindly stepped in to deputize for him.
