Decreasing Axial Magnetic Field Sensitivity with Symmetrical Fiber Loop in Fiber-Optic Depolarized Gyro

2006
Based on monochromatic light, the specific formula that the fiber-optic depolarized gyro is sensitivity to the axial magnetic, which is perpendicular to the endface of the fiber loop,is deducted by use of Jones matrix.Theory derivation about single fiber loop and two symmetrical fiber loops is introduced, respectively. The emulation result is given. And the new technique is put forward too, that it is the two-symmetrical fibers loops to decrease axial magnetic sensitivity.Compared to the single fiber loop, the two-symmetrical fibers loops whose degree of dissymmetry is 1% can decrease the axial magnetic sensitivity to not less than 3‰.
