Analysis of prescription reviews of the public medical institutions in Shanghai Putuo District from 2018 to 2019

Objective:To provide a reference basis for reducing irrational drug use.Methods:A total of 84142 electronic prescriptions and review information of these prescriptions that were automatically extracted from the 2018-2019 Putuo District’s drug supervision platform were analyzed.The prescription unqualified rate is the ratio of the number of unqualified prescription reviews to the total number of prescriptions which were extracted by system.Based on the R studio programming environment,the R language was used to statistically analyze the change of unqualified rate of electronic prescription in two years.Results:The rate of unqualified electronic prescriptions has decreased with the application of the drug supervision platform in Putuo District.The results may provide implications for the application of drug supervision platform to ensure rational drug use.
