The high-pressure fuel pump

2014
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a collision force generated at a time of the collision of a needle in a high-pressure fuel pump and reduce operation noise resulting from the collision of the needle.SOLUTION: A high-pressure fuel pump comprises: a compression chamber pressurizing a fuel; and an intake solenoid valve mechanism provided in an intake side of the compression chamber and opening or closing a fuel channel in the intake side, the intake solenoid valve mechanism including a movable portion moving by a magnetic attraction force, a cavity portion whose volume increases or decreases in response to movement of the movable portion being formed on an outer circumference of the movable portion and the fuel channel supplying the fuel from the cavity portion to the compression chamber being formed, and a channel area of the fuel discharged from the fuel channel is reduced in response to the movement of the movable portion by the magnetic attraction force.
