Design and Management of PFAL

The features, structure, functions, and usefulness of the design and management system (D&M) for plant factories with artificial lighting (PFAL) being developed by the authors, are introduced. Then, some typical outputs for the hourly and monthly electricity consumptions, coefficient of performance of air conditioners, light and temperature distributions, plant growth measurements, and analysis of the PFAL-D&M are presented.
