Avulsed vertebral rim apophysis in a child

Trauma to children's spines may result in prolapse of tissue consisting of nucleus pulposus, annulus fibrosus, the cartilagious end plate, or the rim apophysis. An example of the latter is described with respect to its histologic and radiologic features.
