A Web Application as a Decision Support Tool for the Mobility Management: A Case Study in Sardinia

The present study deals with the creation of a web structure that is designed to improve the mobility among the company’s employees. Such an instrument could facilitate the activities of the Mobility Manager. The most important result is the implementation of a tool available to both employees and Mobility Managers. Its main functionalities enable the employees to access a car pooling service. Furthermore, the Mobility Manager is able to collect mobility data that can be used to design some optimal home-to-work mobility strategies. In this article, the modules related to the on line questionnaires and the car pooling service are analyzed in detail.
