The invention relates to a plant for coating a fibrous web with a coating color - with a roller, which is looped around by the fibrous web during operation; - with an application device for direct application of the coating color to the fibrous web or for indirect application to the first surface of the roller and to the fibrous web; - with a support beam that supports the application device and which is swiveled in working position on the fibrous web and swung in the rest position thereof; - with a catwalk, which is used for inspection by the operator and which is arranged in the region of the supporting beam, specifically below the supporting beam and - in side view - is laterally offset against this. The invention is characterized by the following features: - There is provided a curtain which is suspended from the supporting beam and which - in side view - is located in a vertical plane between the supporting beam and the catwalk; - the lower end of the curtain extends in the working position of the supporting beam with the application device at least to the catwalk; - at the lower end of the curtain acts a tensioning device.
