Pyrolysis of Turkish oil shale and lignite: pyrolysis conditions and alkane distribution

Even though reactor geometry and process condition affect the product distribution of pyrolysis products of oil shales, it is known that the three types of oil shale give a distinctive alkane distribution. In a given system the effect of different process conditions can be followed from the analysis of respective alkane distributions. In this study the effect of nitrogen and water vapour sweeps, the sweep velocity and lignite and oil shale mixtures have been studied.
