Prevalencia del consumo de alcohol y tabaco de estudiantes de la Universidad de Murcia. Un estudio en la Facultad de Ciencias del Deporte

The objective of this research was to analyze the prevalence of alcohol and tobacco consumption among students of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences. A total of 134 students participated (94 males and 40 females), with an average age of 21.36 years (SD 2.44). The students answered the following questions: 1) Sex, 2) Age, 3) Number of times they drank alcohol per week, 4) Cigarettes they smoked per day. Males and those over 20 years old had a higher consumption of alcohol and tobacco. It is recommended to incorporate more education on the effects of alcohol and smoking in the curricula of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, taking into account that male students and those over 20 are the most likely to consume alcohol and tobacco.
