The invention discloses a rerouting method based on an elastic label, and the method comprises the steps: S1, building a downstream adjacent node fault induction mechanism for each routing node on a main path; S2, redefining a label; S3, directly searching a label library when a node receives a data package and finds that a next hop node works normally, and carrying out processing according to a result; S4, carrying out the remapping of an incoming label and searching a new outgoing label and an outgoing interface when the node receives the data package and finds a next hop node interface down or the searching of the label library is not successful; enabling a message to automatically pass by a fault point if the searching is successful and the outgoing label and the outgoing interface are effective, carrying out the forwarding through a new path, or else switching to step S5; S5, carrying out the label remapping of the message, searching a failure label or the ineffective outgoing label and interface from the label library, and enabling the message to be returned to an upstream node. The method is simple in principle, is high in efficiency, and is good in reliability.
