Northern grazing carbon farming - integrating production and greenhouse gas outcomes 1

2015
On-farm practices with potential to reduce methane emissions from cattle and increase carbon stored in soil and vegetation were demonstrated and evaluated in three regions across Australia’s northern grazing land. This project (short name Climate Clever Beef) was supported by the Queensland and Northern Territory governments, regional natural resource management groups, 11 grazing businesses and the Australian Government’s Action on the Ground program. This project targeted three large and diverse regions across northern Australia: the Queensland Gulf, the Queensland Fitzroy Basin and the Northern Territory (Victoria River District, Douglas Daly and Barkly Tableland regions).
