Risk factors and prevention for pulmonary complications after transoral operation for the atlantar axis disorders

2010
Objective:To investigate the correlative factors and prevention for postoperative pulmonary complications(PPC) due to atantal-axis disorders.Method:104 patients with atantal-axis disorders were collected from January 2005 to June 2009.Nine variables among patients with PPC and without PPC were analyzed by T test and χ2 test and Logistic regression analysis.Result:Of 104 patients with atantal-axis disorders,23 developed PPCs with a ratio of 22.1%.Significant difference were noted with regard to 8 variables including the duration ofintubation(4d),the duration of operation(6h),The infusion volume during operation(3500ml),Frankle grade(A~D),smoking history, hypoproteinemia(serum albumin35g/L),hyponatremia(135mmol/L),BMI 18.5 between patients with PPC and without PPC.Conclusion:PPC rate in transoral operation is high. The risk of PPCs can not be ignored and precaution should be taken to lower its occurrence.
