Influence of hydrogenated petroleum resin on the crystallization behavior of polyethylene for biaxially stretched films

2021
The influence of hydrogenated petroleum resin E5415 on the crystallization behavior, crystallization kinetics and mechanical properties of polyethylene for biaxially stretched films were systematically investigated by differential scanning calorimetry, small-angle X-ray scattering, wide-angle X-ray diffraction, melt flow index measurements and tensile mechanical performance test. The experimental results showed that the addition of E5415 inhibited the crystallization behavior of PE and reduced its crystallization rate. With the increase of E5415 content, the crystallinity and lamella thickness of PE/E5415 blends decreased significantly, which facilitated the subsequent biaxially stretching. At the same time, the liquid E5415 at high temperature made it easier for PE molecular chains to move freely and improved the processing performance of PE.
