Study on Brazing and Diffusion Bonding of Aluminum Matrix Composite

The poor welding performance of aluminum matrix composite was caused by difference in the performance of ceramic and matrix alloy.The brazing and diffusion bonding is a common method for welding aluminum matrix composite.The wetting mechanism of interlayer alloy and aluminum matrix composite is reviewed.Several typical welding process,such as ultrasonic soldering,no solder liquid phase diffusion welding,impact diffusion welding and transient liquid phase diffusion bonding,are introduced.The principle and characteristics of the several welding method are especially presented.
