THE SETTING UP OF AN OPERATIONAL SYSTEM FOR TIDAL SURGE FORECASTING

The system for predicting tidal surges and, in particular, storm surges was developed by the French Laboratoire National d'Hydraulique to simulate storms for a region comprising the whole of the continental shelf of Northwest Europe. Good agreement has been shown between predicted and measured storm surges.
