Isomerization of quadricyclane to norbornadiene catalysed by (η5-cyclopentadienyl)(substituted 1,2-benzenedithiolato)cobalt(III) complexes

Here we report the benzenedithiolatocobalt complex-catalyzed isomerization of quadricyclane (Q) to norbornadiene from the viewpoint of the control of catalytic activities in terms of the reversible half-wave potentials in the reduction step (E r 1/2 (red)) and their ability to form adducts with Q.
