4.11. Orbital Veins at the B-Scan Image
1995
Normal antero-posterior superior and inferior orbital veins are rarely seen during orbital examination. Sometimes, it is possible instead to show on the screen the vertical veins. When a pathologic event takes place, i.e. low and high pressure A-V fistulas, the superior orbital vein enlarges and in particular cases, vortex veins or inferior orbital veins are also clearly visible.
