2D Nanomaterials Based Advanced Bio-composites

2021
Nanoscience and nanotechnology influence our lives by several means. The production of engineered nanomaterials represents a scientific revolution in material design; and the expansion of new customer goods from electronic and photonic devices, biosensors to renewable energy materials that are expected to affect almost every manufacturing sector, including medicine. Two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterials play indispensable role in biomedical and nano-biotechnology such as: in drug-delivery system, biosensors, biofuel cells, blood circulation, and organ clearance, circulating tumor cell isolation, cancer diagnosis and therapies, translational medicine, and biophysical responses due to intriguing characteristics like antibacterial, low weight, high corrosion resistance, chemical inertness, stiffness, wear resistance, load-bearing capacity, better lubricating capability, good creep resistance, and fatigue behavior. 2D nanomaterials-based bio-composites have attracted great interest, as they can be used to produce natural hard tissues, bones, and teeth.
