Tecno-cuidados en los hogares. Cualificaciones requeridas, activadas y activables en el Servicio de Ayuda a Domicilio

This article analyses the role of technologies in the professionalization of care work provided for the workers of the Home Help Service (SAD). The text presents the result of a transfer project El portal del familiar GESAD Family regarding the perception of technologies and their potential, for instance, in terms of professional tools for the referred group of interest. Through a qualitative approach, both the required and activated qualifications are analyzed as well as those that would be activated to incorporate technologies in everyday work of auxiliaries. The results point towards the development of new applications, manageable on mobile phones for the auxiliaries of SAD as a strategy in order to advance both in its professionalization as well as in its approach towards technology with cared people with less socio-educational resources.
