DEDICATED CONTROL TECHNIQUES FOR DRIVING SYSTEM OF ELECTRIC CARS

The authors describes an energy-saving algorithm which can be applied to electric cars driven by asynchronous motors. This is obtained by utilising the maximum electromagnetic torque for each set of armature currents. The evaluation of the algorithm is outlined and numerical simulations given to illustrate the energy savings possible. Comparisons are made with the traditional field-oriented technique. Finally it is shown that the feeding technique can be easily obtained by a fully-digitised control system. For the covering abstract see IRRD 882109.
