Determination of the Polarization Characteristics of Objects by the Method of Three Probing Polarizations

A method of three probing polarizations for determining the polarization characteristics of objects by measuring their Mueller complete and incomplete matrices has been developed. The conditions of optimal implementation of the method from the viewpoint of minimizing the error in measurement of the Mueller matrix elements have been investigated.
