Postmenopausal Vaginal Bleeding:Clinical and Pathological Analysis of 490 Cases

Objective To investigate the reasons for postmenopausal vaginal bleeding and observe its clinical diagnosis and characteristics.Methods A retrospective analysis was made of the clinical characteristics of 490 cases of postmenopausal vaginal bleeding.Results In the causes of postmenopausal vaginal bleeding,genital inflammation accounted for 50.20%,dyxfunctional uterine bleeding 18.37%,other inflammation 16.33% and malignant tumor 15.10%.In the causes of malignant disease,endometrial carcinoma accounted for 58.11%,cervical carcinoam 32.43%,ovarian carcinoam 5.41%,vaginal carcinoma 2.70% and metastatic carcinoma 1.35%.Conclusion Benign lesions are the main causes of postmenopausal bleeding.The routine gynecologic and essential examinations and early diagnosis and treatment should be carried out in the women with postmenopausal vaginal bleeding.
