An Empirical Study of Task-based College English Writing Course

Confronted with various conflicts,college English writing instruction yields low efficiency though hard toiled.In an attempt to resolve the deadlock,the paper applies task-based language teaching to a class for an experiment.With two classes set under task-based and traditional models respectively,the paper collects the students' initial and final academic performance during the instruction and also obtained students' writing scores in CET-4.Then,the paper uses the statistics device SPSS17.0 to carry out a paired sample test and an independent sample test.The findings reveal that task-based language teaching can produce better instruction results.
