Resumen El objetivo del presente estudio es examinar las propiedades psicometricas de la version espanola para ninos del Personality Assessment Questionnaire  (PAQ; Rohner y Khaleque, 2005), asi como analizar su dimensionalidad. Para ello, 469 sujetos procedentes de distintas escuelas publicas de diferentes ciudades espanolas, con edades comprendidas entre los 9 y los 16 anos participaron en el estudio (Media de edad: 13.11 ; DT : 2.5). Tras llevar a cabo un analisis factorial confirmatorio del instrumento, se corroboro la estructura dimensional de la version original del PAQ. Asimismo, los analisis revelaron una adecuada consistencia interna, tanto la relativa a la escala global ( α = .82) como la referente a cada dimension separadamente. La validez de criterio obtenida mediante el estudio de constructos relacionados con el ajuste psicologico que evalua el PAQ tambien resulto significativa, confirmandose los resultados obtenidos en estudios previos. Los datos relativos a la validez convergente, empleando para su analisis las principales dimensiones del Youth Self Report (YSR; Achenbach y Rescorla, 2001), sugieren que esta es adecuada. Futuros estudios, por un lado, se centraran en continuar examinando la capacidad de discriminacion del instrumento, empleando para ello grupos criteriales, asi como su utilidad en los distintos grupos de edad y, por otro lado, en examinar la estabilidad temporal del instrumento.  Abstract The aim of this study is to examine the psychometric properties of the Spanish version of the Personality Assessment Questionnaire for children (PAQ; Rohner y Khaleque, 2005), as well as to analyze its dimensionality. 469 subjects from several public schools in different Spanish cities whose ages ranged from 9 to 16 took part in the study (Mean age: 13.11; SD: 2.5). After carrying out a confirmatory factor analysis of the instrument, the dimensional structure of the original version of the PAQ was corroborated. Additionally, results reveale an adequate internal consistency for the global score (α= .82) as well as for each single dimension. Crierion validity was also significant, confirming the results obtained in previous research. Data related to convergent validity using the main dimensions of the Youth Self Report (YSR; Achenbach y Rescorla, 2001) suggest it is appropriate. Further studies will focus on examining in depth the level of discrimination of the instrument by means of criterial groups as well as its usefulness within different age groups. The stability of the PAQ over time should also be examined.
