Consejo Empresarial de Innovación, espacio de integración para el desarrollo territorial

The consideration of innovation as an essential element for socio-economic development at a global, national, regional and local level has reached a remarkable theoretical and methodological development. In this sense, the continuous search for tools to manage it efficiently at each of these levels is decisive to achieve the success of the innovative process. The objective of this paper is to present the results of the implementation within the framework of the Science, Technology and Innovation System, in Holgui¬n province, of the Innovation Business Council. This pioneering experience in the country is a participative work tool in the field of scientific and technological cooperation in the business fabric of Holguin. Its development and improvement, from 2004 to the present, has contributed to advance in the implementation of the system of integrated management of innovation in selected companies and other business improvements in the territory.
