Simplified Design forDigital Front Endusing RandomSampling in Software defined RadioArchitecture

Inthis work,weinvestigate anon-uniform sampling technique anditsapplication tothefrontend design ofwideband radioequipment. Itisthebelief ofthe authors thatrandomized sampling holds great promise inthe design ofsuchflexible radioequipment knownassoftware radio. Samplerateconversion andchannel selection arethe keyfunctions insoftware radio design. We propose torealize these functions withanewstructure ofthedigital front end basedonrandomunder-sampling techniques andusing a timeinvariant CICfilter.
