Application of comfort nursing care in emergency treatment for traumatic hemopneumothorax

Objective To explore the effect of the application of comfort nursing care in emergency treatment for traumatic hemopneumothorax. Methods 47 patients with traumatic hemopneumothorax treated at our hospital from February, 2014 to February, 2016 were selected as an observation group and another 47 as a control group. The control group was routinely cared; in addition, the observation group were given comfort nursing care. The nursing effect and nursing satisfaction were observed and compared between these two group. Results The excellent rate was 93.6% in the observation group and 78.7% in the control group, P < 0.05. The nursing satisfaction rate was 87.2% in the observation group and 63.8% in the control group, P < 0.05. Conclusion Comfort nursing care for traumatic hemopneumothorax can further improve the nursing quality and nursing satisfaction.
