Improvement in the determination of lead in cod liver by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry

1997
Abstract Separation of traces of lead from mineralized cod liver by a two-step solvent extraction procedure creates favourable conditions for subsequent graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS), allowing calibration with simple lead standard solutions. Performance characteristics of the method are acceptable for analysis of lead in cod liver at a concentration ≥ 10 μg kg −1 wet weight.
